Gregory Y. Lauwers, MD has joined as Lead Author of Liver and Pancreas Pathology
Gregory Y. Lauwers, MD has joined the growing Amirsys team of leading pathology experts as Lead Author of Liver and Pancreas Pathology. Dr. Lauwers received his MD degree from the University of Paris in France and completed his residency and fellowship training in pathology at the Lenox Hill Hospital and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. Dr. Lauwers is co-Director of Surgical Pathology and Chief of Gastrointestinal Pathology service at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Associate Professor of Pathology at Harvard Medical School, Boston. His work has centered mainly in the area of gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary and pancreatic pathology, particularly oncologic surgical pathology. He has been a regular invited speaker at all major national and international pathology meetings. Dr. Lauwers serves on several editorial boards for various pathology journals in the United States, and is Deputy-Editor-in-Chief of the Archives of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine.
