Kathryn Foucar, MD has joined Amirsys as Lead Author of Bone Marrow Pathology
Kathryn Foucar, MD has joined the growing Amirsys team of leading pathology experts as Lead Author of Bone Marrow Pathology. Dr. Foucar received her BS and MD degrees from Ohio State University and her residency training in Laboratory Medicine and Anatomic Pathology at the University of New Mexico and the University of Minnesota, followed by a surgical pathology fellowship at the University of Minnesota Medical School. Dr. Foucar is currently Professor of Pathology and Vice Chair for Clinical Affairs at the University Of New Mexico School Of Medicine. She serves as Director of Hematopathology and as the Medical Director of consultation services of the TriCore Reference Laboratories. Dr. Foucar is the author of the first and second editions of Bone Marrow Pathology and is co-author of a new AFIP fascicle on Non-Neoplastic Disorders of Bone Marrow (2007 in press). Dr. Foucar has more than 90 peer-reviewed publications as well as numerous book chapters on bone marrow pathology and hematopathology. Dr. Foucar has given numerous lectures on all aspects of hematopathology, including morphology and specialized studies of bone marrow, lymph node, and extranodal lymphomas.
