Mahul Amin, MD to lead Diagnostic Pathology GU team

Mahul B. Amin, MD has joined the growing Amirsys team of leading pathology experts to coordinate the activities of the Amirsys diagnostic pathology teams. Dr. Amin will also serve on the Amirsys Surgical Pathology Strategic Planning Committee. Dr. Amin is Chairman of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and Professor of Pathology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Dr. Amin has written 170 articles in peer-reviewed journals, as well as numerous invited articles and in excess of 25 book chapters. Dr. Amin is Chairman of the Cancer Committee of the College of American Pathologists, serves on the Prostate Cancer Pathology Committee of the National Cancer Institute and on the Commission on Cancer of Urologic Disease of the American College of Surgeons. He also is co-chair of the Radiation Therapy Oncology Group trial for prostate cancer and a founding member of the American Joint Committee on Cancer.
