New Musculoskeletal title adds new depth to the best-selling Diagnostic and Surgical Imaging Anatomy series.

Amirsys celebrates the release of this truly comprehensive anatomy reference. “Anatomy is shown with the use of radiographs, arthrography, CT, CT arthrography, MRI, and MR arthrography. The radiographs utilize the standard imaging positions, allowing the reader to understand the osseous anatomy that is best depicted in each position. A very valuable feature is the inclusion of the left and right mirror images for MRI, which makes it easier to identify structures within the extremities without having to transpose. Most atlases provide images for only one side, forcing the reader to mentally create the contralateral side. Such exercises can lead to errors in structure identification. Three-dimensional graphics that depict muscles, nerves and vessels are rendered in detail that is invaluable to the practicing clinician. Intricate anatomy defined by multiple small structures, such as the ligaments seen in the posterolateral corner of the knee, is nicely demonstrated in diagrammatic form as well as on MRI,” says Lynne Steinbach, MD, Chief of Musculoskeletal Imaging at UCSF. She adds “This book shall prove to be extremely useful for radiologists, orthopedic surgeons, rheumatologists, physiatrists, physical therapists and clinicians, whether in training or in practice. It is the atlas to purchase for those who seek answers related to musculoskeletal anatomy and its imaging.”
