About Amirsys®

Amirsys is a leading provider of imaging informatics and diagnostic reference support for pathology and radiology.  Amirsys print and digital products are used by thousands of radiologists, pathologists and other physicians at hundreds of medical centers around the world.

Amirsys’ Diagnostic Imaging, Imaging Anatomy and Pocket Radiologist® reference texts are the world’s best selling reference series in radiology.  STATdx® provides online diagnostic clinical decision support to radiologists and other physicians at the point-of-care.  STATdx supports the busy practicing radiologist by increasing speed, accuracy and diagnostic confidence in complex cases.  STATdx streamlines workflow by reducing the time required to research and complete a difficult imaging analysis.  STATdx is the largest and most comprehensive XML-based digital reference source exclusively designed for imaging in the world.

PathIQ® ImmunoQuery® by Amirsys provides powerful meta-analysis plus stunning, high-resolution images of salient histologic features, tissue controls, antibody stains and pitfalls.  ImmunoQuery is the definitive, evidence-based decision support system for immunohistochemistry and is designed to support the busy practicing pathologist by increasing speed, accuracy and diagnostic confidence.  ImmunoQuery helps pathologists quickly define a panel of immunostains to differentiate among a set of possible diagnoses.  Its database is updated continually and is fully referenced with abstract access. Access to ImmunoQuery helps streamline the pathologist’s workflow by ensuring that the most effective immunostains possible are ordered, thereby improving the quality of patient care.  Customizable, user-designed queries and resulting panels promote cost savings through encouraging use of the immunostains available in the lab’s own inventory. ImmunoQuery is the most widely-used informatics system in the world utilized by pathologists for selecting immunostains.

PathIQ

Path IQ Immunoquery® is the definitive, evidence-based, decision support system for immunohistochemistry. Dr. Dennis Frisman, the Founder of ImmunoQuery®, leads the effort to innovate and expand this constantly updated database. With ImmunoQuery, at its foundation, Path IQ Immunoquery is steadily evolving to a comprehensive resource vital to the practice of pathology. The Path IQ Immunoquery database is fully referenced with abstract access, provides typical and atypical staining images, and offers artifacts and pitfalls to avoid. The customizable, user-designed query is accessed via the Internet, and is available by annual subscription.

PathIQ

ImmunoQuery CustomSync enables hospital pathologists to customize ImmunoQuery’s diagnostic panels to differentiate antibodies in the hospital’s lab test directory versus send outs. CustomSync can even limit ImmuoQuery’s powerful meta-analysis to the hospital’s lab test directory, helping pathologists identify viable diagnostic panels available wholly in-house but previously overlooked. Of course, users can modify any panel by adding and/or deleting antibodies as desired. Once a desired panel is defined, the pathologist selects and orders the antibody stains in ImmunoQuery directly from the in-house lab and/or the preferred reference lab.
Diagnostic Imaging Our new EXPERTddx® series is designed to guide radiologists toward logical, on-target differential diagnoses based on key imaging findings and clinical information.  The books present the most useful differential diagnoses, grouped according to specific anatomic location, generic imaging findings, modality-specific findings, or clinically based indication.  All are ranked by prevalence as Common, Less Common, and Rare but Important.  Each diagnosis is lavishly illustrated with at least eight beautiful images, all annotated by captions that highlight the pertinent imaging findings.  Hundreds more images are included in the eBook feature that accompanies every book.  In classic Amirsys fashion, each EXPERTddx includes bulleted text that distills the available information down to the essentials.
Specialty Imaging

Books in the Amirsys’ Specialty Imaging series explore the nuances of a particular imaging modality and technique throughout the body.  While more generalized radiologic references gloss over a subfield, Specialty Imaging books offer an advanced course in various specialties within radiology.  They include discussions of pertinent anatomy, diagnoses, procedures, and differential diagnoses.  Hundreds of magnificent images with detailed captions illustrate the points made in the text.

Each book is accompanied by Amirsys eBook Advantage, which features online access, searchable content.
Diagnostic Pathology

The Diagnostic Pathology series has been carefully designed as a quick and easy to use reference series for the practicing pathologist. This series consists of 18 titles, organized primarily by anatomic site.

Each volume will contain approximately 1000 pages of comprehensive, concise, bulleted text descriptions of approximately 200 diagnoses.  Each lavishly illustrated volume will contain more than 2000 superior quality medical images including gross pathology, radiographic images, specimen radiographs, pathology stain images, and specially prepared medical illustrations.  The Diagnostic Pathology series also employs a variety of quick-reference test data tables.

Imaging Anatomy Just as Amirsys’ other bulleted, dense content and richly illustrated books have revolutionized the field, the new Diagnostic and Surgical Imaging Anatomy series is unlike anything that has come before it. Each new title will have about 1,100 pages of extremely rich content, including about 2,500 radiologic images, approximately 250 color illustrations and is authored by the leading experts in each subspecialty area.
Diagnostic Imaging With our DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING series, our best-selling author editorial board started with a clean slate to design a new, more efficient reference book. The result: a comprehensive, bulleted format, quick-to-use reference source that contains four times the number of images and twice the substantive text content of a traditional book.
Pocket Radiologist Our PocketRadiologist® titles, a series of 16 books, have become the best-selling quick diagnostic reference series in radiology. PocketRadiologist titles have been translated into more foreign languages than any other reference series.
